@anildash.com I was taught some of the trades by my dad when I was younger but then went into tech and kind of lost touch with those skills. Now that I own a home again I’m getting to rediscover all these lessons my dad taught me. It’s been a great experience.

@somenerv82.bsky.social My IT group just calls them “regular users” or “mainstream users”. Because that’s what they are, users of computers. Then we use “power users” for those who try to optimize their work by learning programs well or thinking about how to use system features to their benefit.
